Treasure of the Fire Kingdom The Elemental Phases Book 4 edition by Cassandra Gannon Romance eBooks
So i'll start by saying that I accidentally read this book first in the elemental series. I bought them all in good faith that I would love the series since I have read all of Cassandra Gannon's other books and ABSOLUTELY Love them, and I was not disappointed! by the time I realized I started the fourth book first I was too into the story and couldn't put it down so I finished it and then read the series from the beginning. Gannon has this way of immersing you into these worlds, she also develops these amazing characters that have their own essence to them, a lot of authors tend to write new stories and such but give their characters the same traits. Each novel is wholly it's own and the characters are truly their own people. You can't help but fall in love with Kingu and root for Hope capturing her Beast, and don't even get me started on those Fire Phases they are a bucket full of crazy but in the best possible way, I can't wait to read what She comes out with next!! I would also like to say that her sister Elizabeth is a very talents writer as well and you should definitely try her books out, Elizabeth has been nice enough to write back to my questions on facebook and requests for updates on upcoming books for them both and they have been nothing but kind and forthcoming with any questions or requests. so they are crazy talented and crazy nice, can't beat these ladies!

Treasure of the Fire Kingdom The Elemental Phases Book 4 edition by Cassandra Gannon Romance eBooks Reviews
I love this book... Hope and her Monster are just wonderful. The fight to overcome the abuse with love is so moving> I adore all the houses but the wild quirky Fire House is by far the best
Kingu thinks he’s horribly scarred. Hope thinks scars are sexy. His home has gruesome decor. She thinks he’s the best interior decorator ever. Needless to say Hope is a little different from normal girls. And Kingu happens to be the son of Khaos. Throw in being hunted by several elementals and the adventure begins. There’s just enough comedy to keep the story from being heavy without becoming frivolous. I really enjoyed this one.
This is my favorite of the series! I wish she would write more of these books! It’s been years.
This story is fantastic, I have greatly enjoyed the entire series. This one was my favorite just because of how quirky the characters are. The only complaint I have with the book (I have approx 8 of this authors books with the same issue) is that there are some noticeable editing errors. The writing itself is great however, and I would definitely recommend reading the entire series.
I give it 5 stars despite many flaws in grammar, mainly missing short words and using passed instead of past repeatedly.
It's just that funny. If the blond raised by well meaning monsters had been raised by dangerous but loving killers and met the monster of her romantic dreams, you have the plot of this story. Rereadable!
Cassandra once again amazes me with her ability to redeem past villains. Kingu is a very likable character, incredibly hurt and traumatized by his evil mother. Hope's eccentricity and hilarious Fire House ways make this book a complete riot. The Fire Kingdom is an absolute gem of hilarity and shocking behavior. They are likely my favorite house of all the books. I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast.
I did not anticipate liking this one. So I was shocked when it absolutely became my favorite!
Who expects to really feel any sort of connection with a Kingdom full of violent barely-sane people who decorate with skulls and enjoy artistic scenes of torture and torment? I didn't. But I did.
And who expects to get into the love story of a dragon/man who's been the henchman of the evilest of evil cosmic forces for zillions of years? I didn't. But I did.
I even learned to hate the pastel puffball world of the cloud phases.
Kingu is my favorite character in this series. I'm not sure he intends to be, but he's funny as anything! And he makes unicorns! I'm reviewing all of these after having read all six books in the series that are available, but have been trying to play it off like I just read each as I review, but I'll admit it in this one because I have to say that Kingu keeps getting better and better. Every book he crops up in after this he's even funnier and I can't wait to see more of him. He's absolutely my favorite, and that was a wonderful surprise! And Hope is to die for. She's absolutely precious and still manages to be spicy--she's perfect for him. I never expected to get into a love scene between a dragon dude and a little blond cherub girl but I totally was. Points to Gannon for that.
Even the end. You'd expect for characters like this, with the bad guy these two were "up against" that there would be some serious action scenes and some sort of huge battle, but I love how she ended this. It was actually quite beautiful. I really like how well Gannon handles her stories and characters. She manages to make huge baddies but instead of doing some cliche battle scene where will and determination (or some previously unknown deus ex machina) somehow give the underdog the edge, she always manages to make a clear winner very realistically, sometimes, as in this case, pretty much using the magical version of science. I like it.
